So glad to meet you!
Photography is my passion. When I’m not shooting weddings I’m out shooting street photography, in the gym, or spending time with the family. I was a professional cyclist for 8 years, got to travel the world and have always been an advocate for living a clean healthy lifestyle. I look forward to connecting with you, and I can’t wait to capture your beautiful moments!
-Fernando Vargas Jr.
I have always been drawn to the timeless quality of film photography. There is something about the way film captures light and color that digital cameras simply can't replicate. At the same time, I recognize the benefits of modern professional digital cameras, which offer unparalleled control and flexibility in post-processing.
That's why I shoot with a mix of both vintage film and modern digital cameras. By blending the best of both worlds, I am able to capture images that are both contemporary and timeless.
My style of photography is also a blend of documentary and editorial. I strive to capture real, candid moments as they happen, but I also like to incorporate a bit of direction and styling to create a more editorial feel. This approach allows me to capture the essence of my subjects in a way that is both authentic and visually striking.
The result is a body of work that is contemporary yet timeless, with images that will stand the test of time.
"Fernando is an incredibly skilled, patient, and driven photographer.
Probably the most driven person I’ve ever met and that instilled a lot of confidence in us when we asked him to shoot our wedding. He did an amazing job in capturing all of the beautiful moments that came and went so quickly and we are so lucky to have those to look back on. He is such an attentive photographer with a great eye and really takes a lot pride in everything he creates from behind his lens. Fernando, thank you so much!”
"Fernando made me completely comfortable.
He accepted the challenge of taking photos in a chaotic train station with the same grace as the photos he took at an old Mission garden. With an eye for light and shadow play, he is wonderful at capturing fleeting, intimate moments that have a nostalgic and tad melancholic (but in a good way) feeling. Bravo!”
